ZACH ORIGINS 101
How do you tell the perfect story? Is perfection tangible, or is it the pursuit of it—the effort to communicate—that makes any narrative truly divine? Since childhood, I have been fascinated by the various ways we can connect and evoke joy through communication. This interest led me to explore different avenues, including brief stints in stand-up comedy and indie professional wrestling (yes, the kind with spandex and body slams!). These experiences have given me a unique perspective on how to capture an audience's attention.
When I was eight, I would photograph my action figures in dynamic poses, creating a story over ten Polaroid images. I would excitedly show my grandmother how Batman and Spider-Man teamed up to fight Godzilla. She would nod her head and tell me how creative I was, but I sensed it wasn’t her cup of tea—everyone’s a critic, right?
My desire to visually communicate evolved as I got involved with music as a teenager, designing shirts and posters for my friends' bands. I remember thinking, “This is great!” because people found joy in wearing or seeing the things I created. Although these designs were far from perfect, the act of telling each band’s story across different mediums was, in essence, the perfect story for that time and undoubtedly ignited my passion for design. It was at this point that I realized I needed to dive deeper into what design could offer.
Fast forward to today, and I have developed a wide range of skills that I truly cherish. From shirt design to social media assets, I love finding the best ways to communicate a message with a curated voice.
