Nichefire is a cultural listening platform that analyzes conversations and trends to uncover meaningful cultural insights, helping brands predict market trends and launch in-demand products and strategies. Their app helps teams identify which cultural signals are accelerating, when to act, and how to move earlier with more confidence.
In 2018, I had the pleasure of not only helping build their UI for the early build of their app/product, but also building their branding system and guidelines.
Carrying a Flame
Nichefire already had an existing logo and mission statement, both of which revolved around finding the “source” or “spark” of social trend ignition. It was my goal to not only figuring out a branding system to not only compliment this, but have an overall visual identity that balanced the “promethean fire” of this type of knowledge with a calm balance of a “ride the wave” feel.
This is where I developed the standardized Orange and Teal color palette - to communicate the feeling of safely holding this spark of valuable information for the user.
